2006.5.23 Press Conference

JBMIA announced the states of activities and achievements of BMLinkS on a press conference at the JBMIA office in Onarimon, Tokyo on Tuesday May 23, 2006.

Reporters from 17 different media attended to this conference, including economic and industry papers, IT/PC magazines, and OA equipment trade papers.

The conference opened with greetings from Mr. Iwai, JBMIA Executive Managing Director, and Mr. Yamamoto, chairman of the BMLinkS Project Committee. Following the greetings, Mr. Sasuga, vice chairman of the Standing Committee, reported on the states of the various activities as well as the achievements of BMLinkS.

To show precisely what can be possible with BMLinkS, JBMIA demonstrated scan, storage, and print services complying BMLinkS by using BMLinkS devices from various vendors.

The reporters listened carefully and with interest to the presentations, which were followed by active questions and answers. The conference ended in great success.
