5. Advanced Technical conference of EMC

6. EMC Round Robin test

Purpose	Conduct proficiency test of multiple laboratories by circulation of reference source (comb generator) and evaluate each test site by "Z" score.
Expected participating Laboratory	Laboratory operating 3m and/or 10m method EMC semi-anechoic chamber.

Result	All nominated laboratories completed the measurement.

PHASE 2 January, 2020 - January, 2023

ASEAN Japan Partnership Program for EMC and Safety Conformity Assessment of Multimedia Equipment

ACTIVITIES

1)	EMC Onsite Consulting …Customize consulting for each test laboratory based on the issues from the round robin test result. - Lab A >>> Onsite Consulting on February 25-27, 2020 - Lab B >>> Consulting online: June 27-28, 2022 - Lab C >>> Consulting online on October 17, onsite on November 11, 2022 - Lab D >>> Onsite Consulting on January 19-20, 2023

2)	Safety Proficiency Test … The participating test laboratory enforces the IEC62368-1 safety test use of Multi-Functional Peripheral (MFP) sent from JBMIA. Each laboratory's test results shall be compared and the existence of the concern and problem of the test at the laboratory is extracted. >>>8 laboratories in 4 countries participated this activity between June and September 2021. JBMIA analyzed the test results and decided which laboratory are necessary for consultation.

3)	Safety Onsite consultation … Customized consulting for each test laboratory based on the issues from the Proficiency Test results and/or technical skills. It was carried out by online due to the Covid19 travel restrictions. 6 laboratories participated this program and we followed up the item such as touch current, working voltage, heating test and capacity discharge during the consultation. The way of measuring instruments was demonstrated during the workshop which was held in person.

4)	Safety and EMC Technical Workshop … It was held in Surabaya, Indonesia from November 7th to 10th, 2022. The workshop objectives are A) National laboratories acquire knowledge and evaluation techniques for Multi Media Equipment. B) Establish a contract point for communication between laboratories within ASEAN Member States (AMS) to resolve future technical issues.

5)	Conformity Assessment Symposium … It was held in Denpasar, Indonesia from November 29th to 30, 2022. Main participants are national regulators from AMS. Invited IEC board members as a speaker. Participants learned the importance of CA system knowledge and know-how various products areas. And, they establish a mutual discussion and understanding of current situation at AMS as well.

Project outcome

After the questionnaire of each activity, we collected questionnaires from the participants, and we were able to successfully complete the project with satisfaction results exceeding the target of 80%.
